This Privacy Policy explains how ericyee.ca handles information when you visit the site, subscribe to the newsletter, or follow links to external services.
Information you provide
Newsletter forms ask for an email address and may ask for an optional first name. Newsletter subscriptions are processed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which is the system of record for subscriber information. Kit uses a confirmation process, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. Newsletter form submissions are not intentionally stored as a separate copy in WordPress.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the hosting platform and WordPress may process technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security or error logs. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
Cookies and consent
The site uses necessary cookies and similar storage for essential functions such as remembering cookie choices, maintaining administrative sessions, and protecting the site. Optional services may use additional cookies or similar technologies for functionality or measurement.

This site currently does not use embedded third-party media players. Links to podcast platforms, Amazon, and other external services take you to those services, whose privacy practices apply once you leave this site.
How information is shared
Information is shared only as needed to operate the site and the services you choose to use. Service providers may include the web host, WordPress infrastructure, Kit for newsletter subscriptions, other providers only where their services are enabled. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect the site and its users. Personal information is not sold.
Retention
Newsletter information is processed and retained by Kit as needed to manage subscriptions, preferences, and related legal or operational requirements. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but may not immediately erase all records. Hosting and security-log retention periods have not been independently verified. CookieYes is configured to remember consent choices for 365 days; browser settings or clearing site data can remove them sooner. Contact us to request deletion or ask about retention.
